| After Big Defeats, Clinton Replaces Campaign Manager
The campaign stressed it would be a seamless transition. "Maggie and Patti will work very closely together," said campaign spokesman Mo Elleithee. Ms. Solis Doyle couldn't be reached for comment. The changes come among other problems within the campaign. Last week Mrs. Clinton said she had loaned her campaign $5 million in January, and some senior staffers said that if the financial situation didn't improve, they would forgo paychecks this month. To help pay for a media blitz in larger states, Mrs. Clinton sent out a plea to donors last week to help her catch up with Mr. Obama's fund-raising efforts. Since Tuesday, the Clinton campaign has raised over $10 million from 100,000 donors. The influx of cash comes after Mr. Obama raised $32 million in January, compared with $13.5 million for Mrs.
Out of control
The price of steel reached LE4,800 per tonne on 4 January, compared to LE3,700 in November 2007. Cement prices rose from LE330 to LE420 per tonne during the same period, while brick prices increased by 52 per cent in January, registering LE280 compared to LE180 per thousand brick in December 2007. The surges in costs of these essential building blocks of the construction industry have directly impacted consumer housing unit prices. Steel prices began to rise steadily at the start of 2008 with weekly price hikes. On 12 January, Ezz Steel company, whose output accounts for 60 per cent of the total local market production, announced that the increase in steel prices was due to the unprecedented increase in the cost of pellets, the raw material used in manufacturing steel.
McCain’s life experiences will suit road ahead
John McCain was not my first choice. Or even the second or third. He'd be far more appealing with a Southern conservative as a running mate — former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford, or Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour, to name three. But conservative running mate or not, Mitt Romney's class-act exit leaves McCain without serious challenge for the nomination. And as both Romney and McCain noted in same-day speeches to the Conservative Political Action Conference, this election is not about shades of gray. "Elections in this country are fought within margins of small differences," said McCain. "This one will not be. We are arguing about hugely consequential things." Romney's departing words defined the immediate course for conservatives.

My Chemical Romance Announce Spring U.S. Tour Dates
My Chemical Romance, who traveled the globe last year in support of their platinum-selling album "The Black Parade," will return to the U.S. in March for a month-plus tour -- the last series of dates before the band take time off to write a new album. The tour, which features support from Billy Talent and Drive By, begins March 28th in Tempe, AZ, and will hit mid-size theaters across the country. My Chemical Romance made a deliberate decision to play more intimate venues this time around after spending months of performing in U.S. arenas on the Projekt Revolution tour with Linkin Park and Taking Back Sunday over the summer. .
Steve and Mia: It's a doggone dilemma
Steve is a 50-something married man who's been around the block. Mia is a 20-something single immersed in the Center City dating scene. They may not agree, but they have plenty of answers. If you'd like an answer to your romantic troubles, e-mail them at S&M@phillynews.com or write: S&M c/o Daily News, Box 7788, Philadelphia, PA 19101. Q: I love my girlfriend very much. We are even planning to buy a place together. However, I am beginning to worry about how I will cope sleeping in a bed every night with two dogs. When I'm at her place, some nights I can't fall asleep as I await the inevitable tousling of covers, trot across the bedroom floor, slurping of water or bouncing in mid-air to be let outside at 3 a.m. My gal is used to this and has no problem sleeping. I've never had a dog.

Protesters in Belgrade attack U.S. embassy
I have yet to read a report or news about the Spanish police or army or paramilitary forces going through the Basque reagon and terrorize the population there. This was happening in Kosova on a daily basis since the late 1980's. The Albanians had no choice but to declare independence. The big injustce was done in 1912 when huge chunks of the former Austro-Hungarian empire and Ottoman empire where given to Serbia as a "spoils of war" wihout considering the ethnicity of the population there. As far as you Slavic brothers being mistreated by the west it is silly because they wanted to join the west to escape the grip of the Russian empire. You know what I am talking about. If not please sign up at a college in Chicago and learn actual history. .
Rediscover the Jewel on the Nile
Oh, I love Earth, Wind and Fire, and especially Stevie Wonder. That music is just brilliant, but classical music is still my first love and what I am most passionate about. Also on Lloyds CV are a pair of film soundtracks, Avant loubli and Vipeère, both Zephyr Film productions. Then there is the orchestral work on several home video game soundtracks, most notably the popular Headhunter game by Sega. When I ask Lloyd if he has had the opportunity to get away and experience what lies beyond the Opera Houses grounds, his head droops a little as he sighs, There are always problems, daily problems, that need to be fixed, so I find that getting back to my hotel room is needed and going anywhere else after that is not so needed. I would like to spend a little bit of time at the Red Sea because it just looks wonderful.

'Blinding Snow' Causes Massive 68-Car Pileup in Pa.; 1 Killed, 35 ...
HAZLETON, Pa. Windy, bitterly cold weather spread from the northern Plains to the Northeast on Sunday, with blinding snow canceling church services in parts of Michigan and causing a 68-vehicle pileup in Pennsylvania. A woman died in the Pennsylvania pileup when her car became wedged underneath a tractor-trailer, said Lt. Jason Zoshak of Hazleton Township Fire and Rescue. About 35 people were injured, and at least 24 people whose cars were not drivable were taken to shelters, he said. Firefighters used ropes to rescue people who had scrambled out of their cars and jumped down an embankment to avoid being hit. "They had a heavy snow squall going through the area, zero visibility, high winds," Zoshak said. "There were vehicles everywhere." Also in Pennsylvania, a 60-foot tree toppled by high winds fell onto a sport utility vehicle traveling along a Berks County road, killing a 48-year-old man and critically injuring his 49-year-old wife, state police said.
